SonicXElise: Past and Future

Sonic the Hedgehog had saved the world once again. In his adventure, he met Elise, the beautiful princess of Soleanna. They shared joyful moments of peace and love. They had never been in love before. Their love was unbreakable. Until the defeat of Solaris, Sonic and Elise were forced to make a sad choice, to blow the Flames of Disaster. This would save the world from total destruction, but at the same time Sonic and Elise would never meet. Despite this, Elise blew out the Flame.

Elise forgot about Sonic, her adventure with him, her happy moments with him, her love for him. But Sonic didn't. Sonic had a connection to the Chaos Emeralds. The Chaos Emeralds weren't affected by time. It was through this connection between Sonic and the Emeralds that Sonic kept his memories.

Remebering all about Elise, Sonic ran to Soleanna to see the Festival of the Sun, see the face of his love once again. He ran past her ship so fast that Elise lost one of her royal feathers. The wind she felt was familiar for Elise. However, she didn't see Sonic, who was seeing her from a rooftop.

Sonic was so happy watching her. He was happy to see Elise once again. He then saw Elise's feather flying. Sonic saw the feather flying into the sky. He kept watching the feather into it vanished into the night. He then turned to the festival.

"I have to tell her." Sonic said while watching the festival.

Later, the festival had finished. It was a rainy night. Elise was sleeping in her castle. She was wearing her usual dress. She was too tired from the festival she didn't even put her night gown on. In her dreams, Elise found herself floating in a black void, while a blue wind flew around her. The wind said "Elise" and took the form of a hedgehog. Elise tried to reach out for the blue hedgehog, but the hedgehog ran away in an incredible speed. She woke up from her dream.

"Why do I keep having that dream?" Elise said while watching the window, which was soaked with raindrops. She had that dream since she was seven. Her father died by sickness, forcing the young princess to take the kingdom. It was a hard life for her.

Elise then heard a voice echoing through the walls of the castle. The voice kept calling her name, just like in her dream. It was a kind voice, giving Elise a sense of safety and peace. She walked through the halls, trying to find who was speaking to her until she entered the balcony. It was still raining, and when she opened the door, Elise was bathed by the rain.

In the balcony she found a blue hedgehog staring to the city. The hedgehog then turned to Elise. It was Sonic. Elise was surprised. He was the one she saw in her dreams. Elise threw herself to Sonic and embraced him.

"You are the blue hedgehog..." Elise said while holding Sonic.
"I'm here, Elise, and I'll never let you go." Sonic said while putting his arms around Elise.
"Who are you?" Elise asked.
"I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic replied with a smile.
"What a beautiful name." Elise said. "My name is..."
"Elise." Sonic interrupted.

Elise was surprised the hedgehog knew her name,
"How do you know my name?" Elise asked with curiosity.
"I... just guessed." Sonic said. He knew her name because they met before.
"I had dreams about you. That you spoke to me. Why?" Elise asked.
"Those kind of dreams are about two people destined to meet." Sonic answered. "Dreams tell you about things of the past or the future."
"But why it was our destiny to meet?" Elise asked.

Sonic knew their meeting was destined because they had met before. He wanted to tell her all about what happened between them, what they went through. But Elise was innocent, Sonic felt that Elise wouldn't understand it. So he touched her soft face, saying "Maybe because of this."

"I don't want to leave you." Elise said.
"I'll visit you tomorrow." Sonic said. "We'll plenty of time to know each other."
"I hope so." Elise replied.

Elise then hugged Sonic and kissed him in the cheek, to which both blushed. Sonic then jumped from the balcony and landed in the castle yards. He turned to see Elise. They were both smiling. Elise then waved goodbye. Sonic ran until dissappearing in the rain. Elise went to sleep with a smile in her face. Sonic was watching her from the city. He was also smiling.
